Ben Mellor is a writer, performer, facilitator and creative project manager with over twenty years of experience in socially-engaged arts and education. He has created seven full-length shows which have toured nationally and internationally, and won multiple poetry slams, including the BBC Radio 4 National Poetry Slam. He has published two poetry collections with accompanying audio recordings, and delivered workshops and projects for organisations including The British Library, First Story, and Apples & Snakes.

Ben Mellor is a writer, performer, facilitator and creative project manager who has worked in theatres, schools, prisons, communities and festivals across the UK and internationally for over twenty years.
As a creative practitioner, Ben has created seven full-length shows incorporating spoken word, theatre, music and storytelling, published two poetry collections with accompanying audio recordings, and won multiple poetry slams, including the BBC Radio 4 National Poetry Slam. His work has featured on BBC Radio 4, 4 Extra and the World Service, with writing published by Poetry Review, Route and others.
As a facilitator and project manager, Ben has delivered workshops and residencies for people of all ages and backgrounds, with organisations including The British Library, First Story, Apples & Snakes, Contact, and Lowry. Ben has a double BA (Hons) in Drama and English from the University of Manchester and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Writing from Cambridge University.
